Except from the 3 main University hospitals, clinical departments also operate in other hospitals of Athens (Attikon, Evangelismos, Hippokrateion, Laikon etc.).

Technology Transfer

Founded in March 2018, the ARCHIMEDES Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA)’s Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and Business Accelerator.

The Archimedes Center aims to connect NKUA’s research community with the industry, and to promote entrepreneurship within the University’s ecosystem. It supports researchers to protect their Intellectual Property Rights and valorize their research. The Archimedes Center offers a wide range of services in technology transfer such as IPR management, coaching and mentoring for researchers and entrepreneurial teams based on their ad-hoc needs, training with specific focus on entrepreneurship, and networking with businesses, research institutions, public organizations, as well as VCs and business angels, aiming to facilitate business processes with technology receivers, and promote NKUA’s inventors and inventorships.

The Archimedes Centre’s services are available to all community members: faculty, researchers, students, and graduates of NKUA who wish to either commercialize their research products and establish connections with the industry, or to accelerate the business process from the idea to the market and to create sustainable startups.

The action is financed by the program “Financing the NKUA’s Technology Transfer Office Operations and Actions” implemented within the framework of the Operational Program “Entrepreneurship, Competitiveness, and Innovation 2014-2020” with co-financing by Greece and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union.
